Sourdough Masterclass

Explore the secrets of sourdough baking


The course will take place on the 20th of March and lasts from 17:00 to 20:30.


Course Language: English (We can help with Norwegian translations)


Vea's sourdough course will be partly “show and tell” but a mainly “hands-on” experience. She will guide you through all stages of sourdough baking, from feeding the starter to baking the loaves.


To get you through, there will be a soup break and you get to taste her readymade sourdough bread.  


In the end, you will get your very own portion of a century-old starter so that you are ready to start your own baking journey.



What to expect:

  • A cosy course at a calm farm in Indre Fosen.

  • The unique opportunity to learn about traditional Italian sourdough baking.

  • Soup and the freshest bread you can find.

  • You're own portion of sourdough starter.

  • There will be tea and coffee.



Where will it be?


The course will take in the farm Bed&Breakfast of Heggli Gård.


Heggli Gård is a simple but authentic stay, right in the coastal mountains of Indre Fosen

By car - You get all the way to the farm!


If you travel via public transport from Trondheim, you can take the bus to Rissa which leaves Dronningens gate at 15:30 (The 16:00 boat to Vanvikan is also an option), and we will pick you up in Stadsbygd Sentrum! The return will be via speedboat from Vanvikan at 21:00.


It’s possible to stay overnight at Heggli B&B to catch our Sunday workshop about homemade yogurt, granola, and pasta.

Vea runs Mas Del Saro, a small farm-to-table restaurant in the Italian Alps together with her family. She is the author of “La mia pasta madre” and “Cucina e giardino” and now offers the unique opportunity to attend one of her workshops in Fosen.
